A speeding car crashing into a public bus stand in Telangana’s Karimnagar district claimed one life and left three others injured on Thursday, October 15. The incident at Shalpally bus stand in Huzurabad mandal highlights the potentially devastating consequences of losing control of a vehicle on a public road.

The accident occurred when the car reportedly lost control, struck the bus stand structure and overturned. CCTV footage captured the vehicle taking a sharp turn shortly before the collision, recording the moments leading up to the crash.

Police identified the deceased as Sai Kiran, who was driving the car. The other occupants were identified as Ravi Teja, Deepak and Santosh. Ravi Teja and Deepak sustained injuries, while Santosh reportedly suffered minor injuries. The injured were taken to Jammikunta Government Hospital for medical treatment. The victims are reportedly from Jammikunta town and Reddipalli village in Veenavanka mandal.

Huzurabad Town Police Circle Inspector T Karunakar told Siasat.com that the accident took place at 5:40 pm. Police registered a case under Section 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) in connection with the death allegedly resulting from rash and negligent driving.

According to the police, Sai Kiran was driving under the influence of alcohol. However, the identities of the victims and the precise cause of the accident are yet to be confirmed. The investigation will help establish the circumstances surrounding the crash that turned a road accident into a fatal incident.
