As political parties intensify their preparations for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has begun taking significant organisational steps to strengthen its electoral position. According to party sources, the BSP is close to finalising candidates for nearly 100 Assembly constituencies across the state. The first list of candidates is expected to be announced by the end of June. Party leaders believe that declaring names well ahead of the election cycle will help candidates strengthen grassroots outreach, build local networks and begin voter engagement efforts at an early stage. The exercise is also being viewed as part of the BSP's broader attempt to sharpen its organisational readiness.
