PM Modi Shares Sanskrit Message on Service and Governance

New Delhi, June 10, 2026

The principles of public service and responsible leadership took center stage after Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam highlighting the essence of good governance. The message emphasized that effective leadership is built on dedication to citizens, accountability, and a commitment to the greater public good, reflecting values that remain central to democratic administration.

Through the Sanskrit verse, the Prime Minister underlined the importance of serving people with sincerity and responsibility. The message conveyed that leaders who place public welfare above personal interests are able to earn the trust, respect, and confidence of the communities they represent.

The Subhashitam focused on the qualities expected from those in positions of authority, including humility, discipline, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the well-being of citizens. It highlighted the belief that leadership rooted in service and ethical conduct creates a strong foundation for long-term progress and stability.

The Sanskrit verse serves as a reminder that good governance extends beyond policies and administration, relying equally on values and public accountability. By drawing from India’s classical wisdom, the message reinforces the idea that lasting development is achieved when leadership remains focused on the needs and aspirations of the people.
