New Delhi, May 10, 2026

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Karnataka and Telangana as part of a major outreach focused on infrastructure growth, public welfare and connectivity projects. The visit reflected the Centre’s continued emphasis on accelerating development initiatives and strengthening key sectors across southern India.

In Bengaluru, the Prime Minister attended the 45th anniversary celebrations of The Art of Living and inaugurated the newly constructed Dhyan Mandir at the organisation’s international centre. Several service initiatives related to mental wellness, rural upliftment, environmental protection and social development were also launched during the programme.

Later in Hyderabad, PM Modi inaugurated, dedicated and laid the foundation stone for multiple projects worth nearly ₹9,400 crore. The initiatives included railway infrastructure, highway expansion and industrial development projects aimed at improving transport networks, reducing congestion and boosting economic activity in Telangana.

The Prime Minister also dedicated Sindhu Hospital, a cancer-focused multi-speciality healthcare facility in Hyderabad. The visit underlined the government’s broader focus on expanding infrastructure, improving healthcare access and driving long-term growth across the region.
