Kartik Aaryan’s Captain India is steadily building anticipation with another strong addition to its ensemble. Acclaimed Malayalam actor Parvathy Thiruvothu has reportedly joined Shimit Amin’s aviation thriller in a key role. Although the filmmakers have not revealed details about her character, reports indicate that she will have an important place in the narrative.

Parvathy’s casting adds another notable chapter to her Hindi film career. She has earned widespread recognition for her performances in Malayalam cinema, particularly in films such as Take Off, Koode, Uyare and Bangalore Days. Her Hindi debut came in 2017 with Qarib Qarib Single, where she starred opposite the late Irrfan Khan. She later featured in Kadak Singh and made a cameo appearance in Tu Yaa Main. Her upcoming projects include Storm, Hrithik Roshan’s first web series production, which is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video later this year.

Reports also suggest that actor Manish Chaudhary has joined Captain India in a significant role. Recently seen in Chand Mera Dil, Chaudhary is expected to add further strength to the film’s ensemble. For Parvathy, the project was reportedly among the more interesting Hindi films offered to her recently, making her decision to join the cast an important addition to the film.

The film’s biggest attractions also include Shimit Amin’s return to feature filmmaking after more than 15 years. Amin previously directed Ab Tak Chhappan, Chak De! India and Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year, three films that established his reputation for combining strong characters with engaging mainstream storytelling. Captain India draws inspiration from a major humanitarian rescue operation and follows a pilot, played by Kartik Aaryan, who helps evacuate civilians from a country affected by war. Backed by Baweja Studios and T-Series, the film brings together a compelling subject, a large-scale aviation setting and an accomplished cast. With Amin returning behind the camera and Parvathy and Manish Chaudhary joining Aaryan, Captain India is emerging as an ambitious project that aims to balance spectacle with the emotional human cost of a crisis.
