Neeb Karori Baba’s Birthplace in Firozabad Set for Major Tourism Boost as Convention Centre Nears Completion
Lucknow | 29 March 2026
The birthplace of Neem Karoli Baba in Firozabad is set to emerge as a key spiritual tourism destination, with major infrastructure development underway. A modern convention centre being constructed at the site is nearing completion, with around 90 percent of the work already finished. Officials have indicated that the project is likely to be completed by April 2026.
The convention centre is being developed at an estimated cost of ₹8.65 crore, with a significant portion of the budget already utilised. Once operational, the facility is expected to improve amenities for pilgrims and visitors while strengthening the region’s position on the spiritual tourism map. The project forms part of a broader initiative by the state government to promote religious tourism across Uttar Pradesh.
According to Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh, the initiative aims to balance modern infrastructure with the preservation of the site’s spiritual significance. The centre will include a multipurpose hall, cultural block, and an exhibition space highlighting the life and teachings of Neem Karoli Baba. Essential visitor facilities such as dining areas, a cafeteria, kitchen, and dormitories are also being developed to enhance the overall experience for devotees.
In addition, efforts are being made to improve connectivity to the site through a separate infrastructure project focused on roads and access routes. Officials believe that these developments will help attract both domestic and international visitors, similar to the popularity of Kainchi Dham, and establish the birthplace as a prominent centre for spiritual tourism in the coming years.
