A new step towards making air travel more affordable was taken on Sunday as the ‘Udaan Yatri Cafe’ was launched at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport. The facility was inaugurated virtually by Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, marking an important addition to passenger services at the airport.

Located in the check-in hall of Terminal 3, the cafe offers snacks and beverages at highly affordable prices, starting from as low as ₹10. The initiative aligns with the government’s vision of making air travel more accessible and cost-effective under the UDAN Scheme programme.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the launch of the cafe is aimed at improving the everyday travel experience for passengers by providing essential food and drink options at reasonable rates. The facility is designed to meet the basic needs of travellers without adding to their travel expenses.

Officials from Lucknow International Airport Limited described the initiative as a significant move towards enhancing passenger convenience. They added that the cafe will ensure access to quality refreshments at economical prices, supporting the broader goal of promoting affordable and inclusive air travel in India.
