The Centre on Sunday convened an all-party meeting in New Delhi ahead of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, aiming to ensure constructive discussions and smooth legislative proceedings. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh chaired the meeting at the Parliament House Complex, where leaders from across the political spectrum gathered to discuss the agenda for the upcoming session.

The meeting, called by Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, saw participation from 58 leaders representing 40 political parties, including several Union ministers. Rajnath Singh welcomed the participants before Rijiju outlined the schedule, informing them that the Monsoon Session will begin on July 20 and, subject to government business requirements, continue until August 13 with 19 sittings spread over 25 days.

Rijiju also informed the leaders that the legislative agenda for the session had already been published in Bulletin Part-II by the Secretariats of both Houses on July 16. Seeking support from all parties, he said the government remains committed to the smooth functioning of Parliament and is ready to discuss other important issues in both Houses in accordance with the Rules of Procedure.

Leaders from different political parties shared the matters they intend to raise during the session and assured the government of their cooperation. Rijiju acknowledged their suggestions and thanked them for their participation, while Rajnath Singh concluded the meeting by expressing appreciation to all leaders for their valuable inputs ahead of the Monsoon Session.
