Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday extended warm greetings to citizens across the country on the occasions of Eid-ul-Fitr and Navroz, wishing peace, prosperity and good health for all.

In a message shared on X, the Prime Minister conveyed his wishes for Eid-ul-Fitr, expressing hope that the festival would strengthen harmony in society. “May this day further brotherhood and kindness all around. May everyone be happy and healthy. Eid Mubarak,” he said.

In a separate message on Navroz, he extended his greetings for the Persian New Year, wishing joy and success for the year ahead. “Praying for a year filled with prosperity and joy. May everyone be healthy and may all aspirations be realised. Navroz Mubarak,” he added.

Eid-ul-Fitr marks the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan, a period observed through fasting, prayer and reflection. The festival begins with the sighting of the moon and is celebrated with prayers, festive meals and acts of charity. Navroz, on the other hand, symbolises the arrival of spring and is widely celebrated among Parsi and Persian communities as a time of renewal, hope and positivity.
