Uttar Pradesh Emerging as a Key Growth Engine for India, Says CM Yogi Adityanath
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that India is steadily developing not only in infrastructure but also as a hub for emerging technologies while strengthening its defence capabilities. Speaking at a public event in Uttar Pradesh, he highlighted that the country is moving forward with confidence and resilience despite global uncertainties. According to him, the focus on innovation, infrastructure, and self-reliance is helping India strengthen its position on the global stage.
The Chief Minister pointed out that the concept of self-reliance remains a crucial part of India’s development strategy. He noted that even as geopolitical tensions and conflicts in other regions create economic uncertainty around the world, India continues to maintain stability and progress. He attributed this steady growth to strong leadership and a clear vision that focuses on meeting the needs of every sector of the economy.
Speaking about the role of the state in the country’s development journey, Adityanath said that Uttar Pradesh is committed to playing a significant role in India’s growth story. He described the state as a “growth engine” that is actively contributing to the nation’s progress through development projects, improved infrastructure, and expanding economic opportunities.
The Chief Minister also referred to upcoming cultural events that will begin with the start of the new traditional calendar year during Chaitra Shukla Pratipada, including celebrations related to the Jhulelal Festival. He recalled that the venue where the event was held had once hosted major sporting activities, including a cricket match between India national cricket team and Pakistan national cricket team, but later faced issues of encroachment. He credited former mayor Dinesh Sharma for ensuring the area was cleared and restored, allowing it to be developed into a proper public space where events can now be organised smoothly.
